  • The first step in a rezoning request or obtaining a conditional use permit or variance will be for the applicant to call the Shawano County Planning and Development Department. Phone: 715-526-6766 for a preliminary consultation regarding the request. They will obtain and prepare the appropriate application materials and the applicant will then be directed to the Town of Navarino Planning Commission to continue the process.

  • The book on the history of Navarino was published in 1992. The book Timber Tales and Trails shows there is a lot of history in the township. The Navarino History Commitee choose pictures and articles that show the history in an interesting way. It was a real challenge for the committee to go back 150 years in history to compile the information.
